Grok Bot took over sysadmin duty on a one-off Linux box
A Linux box mattered but wasn't their day job, and fixing it when it broke was anxiety-inducing. They gave Grok Bot root SSH access and their old setup notes, and now run nginx restarts and firewall rules from a phone app.

“The anxiety of being a sysadmin has completely disappeared.”
Spotted: found in the wild. Details are as reported by the source above and have not been independently verified.
What they did
They are nominally capable of maintaining a one-off Linux box but it isn’t their day job, so fixing it when it breaks is frustrating and anxiety-inducing. They made a sysadmin bot, gave it their scratchpad of historical setup notes, gave it its own root SSH key, and checked out their monorepo with setup notes, config files and web roots.
How it went
They now treat the Grok bot like a command-line interface with sane syntax, issuing commands like restarting nginx, pinning mariadb versions, turning on a firewall, running hourly health checks, and doing Monday-morning updates it can roll back if necessary. They can reach it from an app on their phone to fix problems from anywhere, and say the anxiety of being a sysadmin has completely disappeared.
Try it yourself with Grok Bot
You are my sysadmin bot for [server/box name]. Here are my historical setup notes: [paste notes]. You have root SSH access via [key]. When I ask you to do something like restart a service, change a config, or run a health check, do it directly and confirm the result. Flag anything that looks like a security risk before acting.

In SpaceXAI's own guide, engineer Lingxi Li's bots start Cursor cloud agents, check every PR every 30 minutes and merge the low-risk ones. A teammate shipped 2,000+ PRs in a month, they report.
A home service business connected Grok Bot to its phone system after a few hours of setup. It now listens to every call and posts a summary to the team's Slack channel.
Junk email, Amazon return deadlines, open-source pull requests and a trip to book. Grok Bot runs that life admin: 1,000+ emails trashed, 7 return deadlines tracked, 17 PRs merged, flights, hotel and car booked.
A Coca-Cola price check across Belgian supermarkets, with no shops or sizes named. Grok Bot went to each store's own site, flagged a Carrefour block, and after one human click found the best price per liter there.
SpaceXAI designer John Bai built one auto-layout component, and a design bot filled the other cards from the real file. Other bots built three prototypes to learn from. From SpaceXAI's own guide.
Twenty agents at once was overwhelming, so SpaceXAI's Blake Schuller set up one bot, Gus, over the rest: call prep cards, unkept promises, unanswered asks. From SpaceXAI's own guide.
