Forward an invoice, and it lands in the cost sheet, no typing
Small annoyances, one inbox. Their Hermes agent pulls invoice data from forwarded PDFs into a cost sheet, rolls unfinished to-dos over at 11:59pm, and warns when it's too windy for the lawn furniture.

Result The first agent that didn't need constant fixing
“I have it set up so that I can forward it email with invoices and it will extract the data from a PDF and enter it into a cost tracking sheet”

What they did
Uses Hermes Agent as a personal assistant that centralises small automations. They forward it emails with invoices, and it extracts the data from the PDF and enters it into a cost-tracking sheet. It also rolls unfinished to-dos over to the next day at 11:59pm, warns them if it will be windy in the next few days so they can bring the lawn furniture in, and flags 1:1 meetings the other person has declined.
How it went
It’s the first agent they tried that didn’t need constant fixing. Nothing life-changing, they say, but a low-effort way to automate away minor annoyances through one interface they can reach from almost anywhere.
Try it yourself with Hermes Agent
When I forward you an email with an invoice, open the PDF and extract the supplier, invoice number, date, due date, amount, tax and category. Add a row to [spreadsheet] with those fields and a link to the email. If anything is unclear or looks like a duplicate, ask me instead of guessing, and remind me three days before each due date.

Payment portals, and bills always left to the last minute. One photo of a mailed bill went to a Hermes Agent with a Stripe agent wallet, and it paid the bill and filed the receipt.
Getting their AI into Monarch Money took some AI-assisted hacking of the login. Then an open-source MCP connector let their Hermes agent pull transactions, spot patterns and send a daily report.
Booking swimming lessons for their son was on the to-do list. Hermes Agent monitored availability and automatically booked a suitable slot the moment one opened up.
An 8D music video with millions of views sparked a test: could an agent make one? Hermes Agent wrote the lyrics and music, made visuals from the song and added the 8D effect and audio-responsive video.
Mood, food, habits and sleep, logged daily for months. A Hermes agent writes end-of-day reports (they miss a lot), but asking Claude for correlations surfaced a pattern they'd never noticed.
Their Hermes agent on Qwen took a C++ entropy extractor from 12MB/s to about 48, then kept optimizing alone. Six hours later it stopped, just past 100MB/s, with a correct implementation.
